Texas Water Development Board part 2

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approved on November 6, 2024, by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $810,562 in principal forgiveness from the Clean Water State Revoving Fund (CWSRF) to the Victoria County Water Control & Improvement District No. 2 (Victoria County). The District will use the assistance for the planning, design, and construction of a wastewater system improvement project.

With the assistance that was approved, the District will expand its wastewater treatment plant from 72,000 gallons per day to 100,000 gallons per day. The District will also develop an asset management plan.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans.  The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
